Greetings From Guayaquil!

The day arrived and the 14 hour journey to Ecuador began without a hitch, really the whole journey was pretty easy. I caught a 11:25am flight from Toronto to Miami, the highlight being flying over Cape Canaveral and seeing the massive vehicle assembly building and the launch pads. After a less than stellar airport sandwich, I began to meet some of my fellow travellers for the week. It's pretty cool the way Lindblad organizes the group flights so that passengers can start mingling before the adventure really begins. I also met up with my fellow Grosvenor Teachers Fellow, Mark Woodward. Mark's a high school teacher in Alaska, so he had to red eye it in last night.

Next leg was the flight to Guayaquil, again pretty painless. Captain America: Civil War kept me entertained most of the flight and Lindblad seamlessly transferred us from the airport to the Hilton Colon Guayaquil. Now I'm sitting in the lobby bar, enjoying a cold cerveza and trying to convince myself that it's time to go to bed to rest up for tomorrow.
